Lectors

Do you feel called to proclaim the Word of God and the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass?  Our mission is to help members of the assembly enter into the power of God's Word by serving as a lector during weekend and Holy Day Masses. Most of the preparation for this ministry occurs well before the first word is spoken. You do not have to heave prior or extensive public speaking experience to participate.

Ministry Expectations:

• Volunteers should be comfortable speaking to a large group.
• Attend a 45 minute training session.
• Commit to at least one weekend Mass time slot.
• Agree to practice and be prepared prior the scheduled service.
• Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the assigned Mass and check in at the kiosk and with the presiding priest.

Scheduling:

• Schedules cover a 3-month time period.
• Preferred Mass times, availability and substitute requests can be set through the MSP scheduling system.
