On the 20th of every month, volunteers provide food and serve approximately 150 individuals in need at the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Meal Hall (816 Allen Ave. St. Louis, MO 63104). These homemade meals are served to the residents of the shelter, as well as to families and individuals in the Soulard area, who may be on limited or fixed incomes. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Jobs include cooking, serving, cleaning up after serving, and most especially visiting with the guests. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and giving of your time to help those in need. You are guaranteed to feel good when you leave!
Details and Logistics:
* If the 20th of the month is a weekday (Monday-Friday), servers arrive at 4:15pm and serve Dinner from 5pm-5:45pm. We finish by 6:15pm.
* If the 20th of the month is a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), servers arrive at 11:15am and serve Lunch12:00pm-12:45pm. We finish by 1:15pm.
* All donated items need to be dropped off at the parish office by Noon on the day of the meal. Please note that if the 20th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, please have all donated items dropped off to the parish office by Noon on Friday.Volunteers should park in the fenced and secure Meals Hall parking lot, which is diagonally opposite from the church. The meals are served in the Sts. Peter & Paul's Meals Hall, 816 Allen Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104.
